This December Team Sport celebrated the launch of top running brand Saucony’s innovative Stride Lab App. They welcomed key lifestyle and sportswear journalists for their very own gait analysis at the 1 Rebel Gym, one of London’s most popular training locations.
Attendees were invited to step onto the treadmill and have their stride analysed by Saucony’s in-house experts, with their movements picked up from head-to-toe by three separate cameras positioned at the front, back and side.
After having their key stride characteristics analysed, each runner was provided with key points of improvement and particular drills to suit them before they were then gifted the most appropriate shoe from Saucony’s new SS17 trainer collection.
The Saucony Stride Lab app is an innovative extension of the Saucony Stride Lab that was first launched this spring, and empowers the runner to build a better running body right from the palm of their hands. First giving them a multi-step personal evaluation of their stance, mobility, stability and stride before instantly interpreting the data and offering a customized training plan of drills and running specific-exercises to improve their faults.
With lots more journalists still due to find out just how their foot really falls, we eagerly anticipate meeting them on the Stride Lab treadmill very soon.
Look out for more news on the app as we start to hit marathon fever this spring.
The Saucony Stride Lab is also open to the general public and will be touring specialist run retailers around the country.
