We Are Nations, the brand of choice of international esports professionals and the largest esportswear production company in the world, has appointed Brandnation, after a competitive pitch, to activate its full-funnel digital and performance marketing strategy and implementation.

We Are Nations has offices in the USA, UK and Mexico and over the past few years has enjoyed dramatic growth in keeping with the global explosion of interest, and participation in, esports. The company has quickly made a name for itself both within esports and also its associated lifestyle market. This comprehensive brief will be undertaken by the Performance and Digital Marketing team at Brandnation with the aim to maximise its associations as part of its forthcoming activation strategy, including landmark launches such as the official store for Riot Games’ League of Legends Championship Series; and becoming the partner of choice for major professional esports teams including G2, Complexity, Immortals and UYU.

The global esports market is worth over $1bn and many tournaments offer big prize money incentives as well as enjoying major brand sponsorship. The Six Invitational event which is currently underway, has a prize-pool worth over $2million, whilst household brands, including Marvel, BMW and IBM, have all recently entered the esports arena. According to Newzoo, esports will have a market value of $1.6bn by 2023, and the Brandnation team has been tasked by We Are Nations to ensure the company maintains and builds on its leading edge in this dynamic market.
