London based worldwide holiday specialist Brightsun Travel commissioned Brandnation’s Digital Team to design and build a microsite and Facebook app to support its association with the official Tourism Authority of Thailand to promote to UK consumers all the amazing holiday options available to tourists to Thailand. Based on a competition format, the online experience offers one lucky competition winner the amazing prize of a luxury holiday to Thailand for two with flights and accommodation included.
The competition is really simple to enter - all consumers have to do is go to either Brightsun’s website or Facebook page and select their favourite three Thailand attractions or activities from the many displayed in the gallery. The complete prize package includes two direct return economy tickets to Bangkok and internal flights to Phuket; three nights at the five star Pathumwan Princess hotel in Bangkok and three nights in a villa at the five star Vijiff Resort Phuket.
Renowned for its exquisite beaches, ancient temples, unique flavours and friendly people, Thailand is called the ‘land of a thousand smiles’ for a thousand very good reasons. All visitors to this diverse, friendly and breathtakingly beautiful country, whatever their interests, will find themselves spoilt for choice when it comes to things to see, do and experience. Families, couples, honeymooners and LGBT visitors will all experience a warm welcome and endless options for enjoyment.
The geography of Thailand lends itself to multi-centre holidays – often combining idyllic beaches together with something more adventurous. The north of Thailand lends itself to jungle exploration, mountain trekking and adventure experiences as well housing many of the most important temples. The south is renowned for its beaches, paradise islands and is a haven for diving, relaxing and unwinding.
According to Brandnation’s Creative Director, Mark Peacock, “It was great to build a digital environment to represent the very best that Thailand has to offer the tourist and create a competition mechanic that encourages interaction and engagement.”
