This August, Brandnation’s Health and Beauty PR agency team, together with client Wiley’s Finest (the leading sustainable Omega three and supplements brand) hosted an intimate health media and influencers breakfast at Searcy’s, the Gherkin’s exclusive and newly refurbished private dining room in the centre of London’s smart financial district.
The event was held to launch the brand’s highly anticipated Bold Vision supplement, a new category brand of health products specially formulated for premium vision care. Bold Vision: Proactive is Wiley’s Finest first formula without its signature Omega-3s to provide concentrated nutrients with multiple health benefits; it represents an innovative breakaway from the Wiley’s Finest Wild Alaskan Fish Oil brand the UK has come to love.
According to Sam Wiley, Managing Director of Wiley’s Finest, “The real genesis in Bold Vision is that eye vitamins tend to be thought of as ‘old people vitamins’ but the pervasive use of mobile phones has made it so important that people in their 20s, 30s, and 40s are taking care of their eye health. Brandnation’s Health and Beauty PR team invited 20 health and wellbeing journalists from trade publications including Natural Products New through consumer weeklies including Now, Woman’s Own, Closer and Bella to health to wellbeing titles Healthista, Feel Good You, Health & Fitness and Men’s Running as well as monthly women’s glossies and national newspapers and supplements.
Enjoying healthy breakfast canapes and herbal teas from Yaupon Brothers, America’s antioxidant-rich native tea, journalists were introduced to the new product range by nutritional expert Shona Wilkinson. Wilkinson presented the benefits of eye vitamins aligned to the nutritional content of the new products. “The formulation is one that I would write myself. It’s the quality of the ingredients; that’s where Wiley’s Finest excels. Fish oils are the most important supplement to get right in terms of quality.”
The soft gel Bold Vision capsules contain lutein and zeaxanthin to protect again blue light; zinc, vitamin E and astaxanthin which act as antioxidants; and are also omega-7 rich to help combat dry eyes.
Wiley’s Finest’s UK territory sales representative and brand educator for the US supplements company, Maria Barboza, gave each of the attendees the chance to screen their eyes for macular pigment optical density (MPOD) using a rapid eye test.
Guest were then given a supply of Bold Vision supplement to take away with them.
