Over 30 members of the UK media took part in the first UK Tough Mudder event of the 2016 season, courtesy of Brandnation client and new Tough Mudder global Presenting Partner, Merrell.
The Tough Mudder London West event took place on the weekend of Saturday 30th April and Sunday 1st May in Fawley, just outside of Henley-on-Thames and over the sun drenched weekend over 18,000 participants took part in the gruelling 12 mile, 24 obstacle event supported by 5,000 friends and family.
The Merrell ‘pack’ together with ten members of Brandnation did really well with all but one completing the course. As for Merrell, it enjoyed extensive on-course branding, and hosted Tough Mudder TV – a live broadcast of the event as it unfolded broadcast onto a huge screen in the Merrell relaxation area in the Tough Mudder village.
Merrell also sponsored one of Tough Mudder’s toughest and most popular obstacles – The Pyramid Scheme, an obstacle that relies on teamwork, and involves mudders sprinting, scrambling, climbing and pushing their way to the top of a steep, slippery incline.
To celebrate its partnership with Tough Mudder, Merrell has created an exclusively branded and designed trail shoe, built tough, to tackle all elements of the famed and feared Tough Mudder obstacle course – the All Out Tough Mudder.
Brandnation will be with Merrell and Tough Mudder for several more of the UK events scheduled for this summer, managing press, social media and gathering extensive photo and video assets.
