Dunlop appoints Brandnation to create a big, multi-media ‘splash’ to launch its exciting new Biomimetic racquet range to the tennis trade and tennis players. Viewed as a potential game-changer for the client we devised and executed a complex, multi-tiered, fully integrated marketing campaign to successfully launch the new range and create a buzz about the Dunlop brand in the target space.
Dunlop appoints Brandnation to launch Dunlop biomimetic included PR, Social Media, press and digital advertising (including targeted home page takeovers of key online media), ambassador activation and, to generate real brand engagement and interaction with tennis fans, our digital team designed and built a unique Facebook and online based app that allowed tennis fans to design their own racquet – with the best designs submitted being actually created and gifted to our competition winners.
Our biomimetic campaign worked wonders – stealing the lion’s share of the tennis playing public’s attention in the key run-up to Wimbledon launch period. Over 10,000 tennis fans entered the design a racquet competition, providing great brand PR as well as significant data capture. The sports trade embraced the new range, with many giving it pride of place in store together with the striking campaign POS and sales exceeded all forecasts. A new benchmark of reach and success for the Dunlop brand in tennis was achieved.
