Founded in 1992, Science in Sport is considered one of the world leaders in sports nutrition. With a roster of ambassadors ranging from Sir Chris Hoy, Mark Cavendish, Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty to recent Tour De France winner Egan Bernal, their influence on the sports nutrition world is unparalleled. SiS has been working with Brandnation’s social media and content team to manage and develop their ambassador programme and bolster their social presence in addition to energising their content strategy.
Following an intensive audit, our social media agency team redefined objectives in order to create and implement a regular posting structure, improve on their brand look and feel, grow the account following, increase engagement, growth rate, reach, and revenue.
Our approach to refining the SiS social strategy focused on finding a balance between supporting key events, driving traffic to their website, educating their audience on new product releases, and supporting their ambassadors. We executed a complete overhaul of their social content which included story and feed strategy, content curation, and a consistent look and feel to the account.
The results speak for themselves, in our first six months our social media agency team achieved a 1933% uplift in overall impressions and a 255% increase in Instagram engagements. The primary focus was placed on Instagram, however, growth was also seen on Facebook, with a 33% increase in engagement and a 52% boost in clicks.
Working concurrently with the new social strategy, we also refined SiS’s influencer strategy targeting the highest performing athlete ambassadors across different sporting disciplines. Our robust group of brand ambassadors ranging from top tier athletes, to health and fitness lifestyle influencers, saw Instagram grow exponentially with a 162% increase in reach, and a 108% uplift in engagements.
