Overview

To launch The Hair Boss Colourants range, by Lisa Shepherd we wanted to create an interactive, educational and fun evening. We researched various virtual event concepts that were relevant to both The Hair Boss and the current climate.  Colourants and Cocktails was confirmed – the perfect lockdown escapism for a well-deserved Hair Boss Pink themed cocktail and hair care rejuvenation package.

 

What We Did

Brandnation’s Beauty PR team held a press and influencer event to celebrate the launch of The Hair Boss Colourants by Lisa Shepherd and due to COVID-19 we hosted both events virtually, on Zoom. This enabled guests to join in from the comfort of their own home, yet still have an engaging, intimate and interactive experience.

Christmas came early as the team gifted a Hair Boss Cocktail & Colourants bundle, consisting of a cocktail glass, cocktail sign, pink cocktail ingredients and a branded stirrer, along with a pink candle for the ultimate Hair Boss themed evening. 

With little introduction needed, Lisa Shepherd the leader in haircare, highlighted key moments in her career, as well as introducing the new range. Lisa discussed the key messages, USPs of each product, along with Do’s & Don’ts when colouring and correcting hair at home, to further educate guests. Key press and influencers attended to hear first-hand about the new launch and Lisa’s expertise in the industry and were able to ask questions throughout. This was a great way to keep everyone involved, as well as giving that 1:1 experience and advice from Lisa. 

Brandnation then asked Lisa to share tips & tricks on newsworthy haircare topics, such as hair loss, how to get ‘zoom’ hair ready, as well as discussing future hair trends. This was a great way to help journalists and influencers get ideas for future features, social media content, as well as keeping the focus on the Hair Boss products. 

Results

Filled to capacity, both events achieved great social media content, showcasing the new range, reaching over 1.2m in followers. We have also achieved a reach of over 2m in readers so far through press coverage, with more due to appear very soon.  Journalists from titles such as The Daily Mirror, The Daily Express, Fabulous, Evening Standard, The Sun, Grazia, Notebook and Woman & Home Magazine attended, and influencers such as @nadinebaggott, @imlaurenblack, @charlotteemilyprice, @amothersedit, @emeraldxbeauty, @tashsoodeen, @jess_megan and @lpbeautyblog also attended. 

We had a great evening at both events discussing home colour and maintenance, with a delicious Hair Boss themed cocktail in hand!
