MoRunning supports the Movember Foundation, the leading charity tackling men’s health on a global scale, year round and here at Brandnation we’re delighted that our sports PR team have been appointed to handle PR for the 2019 MoRunning event series. Not least because 2019 is the organisation’s 10th anniversary!
Men’s health affects all of us – we all have fathers, and many of us have brothers, husbands, sons. Yet men are notoriously slow to talk about health issues, both mental and physical.
Over the years MoRunning is proud to have met a number of MoBros and MoSistas who have shared their incredibly inspirational stories with us. This is why they run, and why we are so proud of them.
With Movember fast approaching, Brandnation’s sport PR team are ready and willing to don their moustaches and get busy on this year’s Mo Running race series.
10 years of running for men’s health
In its 10th Anniversary, Mo Running – the unique running festival will take places at 24 different locations across the UK & Ireland during November 2019. It brings together thousands of runners to celebrate and raise awareness and vital funds for men’s health in the UK.
Research commissioned by Movember Foundation show that men are on average dying six years earlier than women for reasons that are largely preventable, making it a battle well worth fighting.
Tasked with increasing event awareness and driving ticket sales and event participation at each race, Brandnation has ensured that the competition will be packed with politicians, press and influencers.
It’s not just on the day that the buzz has been built
We’ve secured listings in The Evening Standard, Runner’s World and Metro to name just a few as well as spreading the stories of many of MoRunning’s amazing ambassadors. This includes national and specialist interviews for James Martin, the Londoner who is running 12km every day in November to represent the number of men dying from suicide each week.
Expect to also see and hear Mo Running’s event team and ambassadors on multiple news channels and regional radio shows as we head into the prime moustache growing period as well as in plenty of post-race reports.
