Brandnation, the integrated creative marketing and communications agency, has been appointed by Norwegian technology company Xplora as its UK agency partner. Xplora delivers technology solutions including smartwatches, smartphones and software that enable families, kids and seniors to stay connected and safe.
The integrated brief spans corporate profiling, press office, influencer marketing and creative campaigns, reflecting Brandnation’s end-to-end service model and expanding capabilities in corporate comms.
Xplora is a purpose-led tech company founded by Sten Kirkbak after a moment of panic when he lost sight of his four-year-old son in a shopping centre. Now one of Europe’s leading children’s smartwatch providers, Xplora puts safety at the heart of its proposition by combining smart devices with features like GPS tracking and parental controls. Over a million customers have embraced its products across 22 countries worldwide.
The appointment supports Xplora’s ambitions to scale brand visibility and customer acquisition in the UK market, with Brandnation leading on strategic storytelling, media relations, influencer alignment and creative content.
The account will be led by Brandnation’s Creative Director Joe Murgatroyd, with support from newly appointed Global Head of Brand and Strategy Jeremy Page, formerly of Hunter and KWT Global.
Mary Killingworth, managing director at Brandnation, said of the appointment: “Xplora sits at the intersection of purposeful innovation, parental trust and responsible tech, making it a particularly exciting brief for us to bring to life through integrated creative and communications.
“As a parent, I find the brand’s mission incredibly resonant, and with our insight-led approach and the recent addition of Jeremy Page to the senior team, we’re poised to drive cultural relevance and commercial impact for Xplora in the UK.”
Sten Kirkbak, Founder and CEO of Xplora said: “We’re proud of the impact Xplora has made for families to date, and the time is right to grow our presence in the UK, where conversations around online safety and kids’ digital wellbeing are more important than ever.
“Brandnation showed a strong understanding of our purpose and audience, paired with the creativity and strategic depth to support our growth through their ‘Creativity. Multiplied.’ philosophy. We’re excited to partner with them for this next chapter.”
The appointment builds on Brandnation’s momentum in 2025, following its expansion of its senior leadership team, new client wins and a PRWeek Global Awards shortlist for its launch of the UIM E1 World Championship.
